Arrivals

Disembarkation

There will be a security screening the moment you enter the terminal from the aerobridge. Your handcarry and yourself will be screened for prohibited items and at the same time prevent anyone from stealing the life jacket from their seat on the plane. The officers will not touch you or near any sensitive parts of your body unless necessary. Such a security measure is necessary so we are well aware of flights originating from "unsafe" airports.

Immigrations

Clearing the Immigrations at PIIA is a breeze; it is simply a touch-and-go experience. Of course, that doesn't mean that airport security, or national border security for that matter, is compromised. We advise that families travelling together clear Immigrations one by one. Travellers under the age of 12 can be accompanied by an adult.

What to prepare:

  1. Passport

  2. Travel Visa Form

  3. Health Declaration Card

The Travel Visa Form must be filled up online and printed out before arriving in PIIA. If the form has not been filled up, the officer cannot clear the traveller for Immigrations. Travellers must pay an additional administrative fee of 35 Royale Elites to have their form printed out. The Health Declaration Card will be handed over to you on the plane midflight before landing at PIIA. Please fill up the Health Declaration Card before landing.

Present the above documents to the officer at the counter. The officer will stamp on the Travel Visa Form and then collect it before stamping the appropriate visa on your passport. The Health Declaration Card will also be approved (so long as there is no serious problem identified by the officer) and then handed back to you. You will need to present the Health Declaration Card to clear Customs.

Baggage Claim

After you've cleared Immigrations, head over to the Baggage Claim. Please proceed to the correct belt and await your checked-in baggage. While waiting, if possible, you can still do some duty-free shopping. Odd-sized baggage can be collected at the Odd-Sized Baggage Counter located in every terminal.

Unclaimed baggage will be relocated to the Lost and Found Counter. We will notify the owners of any identified bags immediately after Baggage Claim closes for the selected flight, and if the owner can be notified, we will send the baggage to the person's stated address in the Imperial Royal Union. Baggage left unclaimed for 7 days will be discarded. We apologise for such an inconvenience.

Customs

Imperial Royal Union's Customs exercise very tight control over prohibited and controlled goods, therefore please be reminded to be honest and declare such goods accordingly.

There will be two lanes that a traveller can use, the Green Lane - Nothing to Declare, and the Red Lane - Goods to Declare. Regardless of which lane you go to, all your baggage and handcarry will be screened. If you are found in the Green Lane with prohibited or controlled goods, you will be fined and can also be arrested. If you are honest and proceed to the Red Lane, you can choose to pay taxes and tariffs and bring the good past the border, otherwise you can choose to leave such goods with the Customs officers.

You do not have to pay for anything bought from any duty-free store in any airport. All other controlled goods not bought from duty-free stores will be taxed.

The following is a list of prohibited items that cannot be brought into Imperial Royal Union.

  • Firearms

  • Ammunition and Live Rounds

  • Flammable Liquids

  • Sharp Objects

  • Explosive Devices

  • Bulletproof Clothing

  • Recreational Drugs

  • Poisons

It is an offence to bring such items into Port Imperial and offenders can face a fine of no less than IRE 10,000 and a jail term of no more than 12 months. Any attempt to abuse any of the above items is a capital offense and offenders can face a death sentence, by hanging or shooting.

The following is a list of taxes imposed on controlled goods upon entry into Imperial Royal Union. Travellers are once again advised to be honest and declare the goods accordingly.

    • For every gram of tobacco product brought in, 1 Royale Elite will be charged.
